Billy Currington’s newest album is a combination of R&B, pop, rock and roll and, of course, country. It’s just a little bit of everything and more! Currington proves that he has been working hard. Raised in Rincon, GA., he began singing early – auditioning for Opryland USA theme park while still in high school. Currington moved to Nashville after high school and took a number of jobs including personal trainer and songwriter before signing with Mercury Records. His first single, “Walk a Little Straighter,” was a hit and his self-titled album was released in 2003. In 2005, he released his second album, and the song, “Must Be Doing Somethin’ Right” hit #1 on the country charts. His new album was released in early October and the first single from the CD, “Don’t,” has been receiving wide air play on radio and is hitting the charts. The album has already rated number 2 behind the new Chesney album. |

bangin’ on cheap guitars On the new CD, Currington’s voice seems deeper and richer and the lyrics are more reflective. “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” is a foot-tapping number with its chorus: “Yeah they’re spinnin’
their wheels, castin’ their reels The song most likely to become a favorite for Currington’s female fans is “No One Has Eyes Like You,” that he wrote with Brett Jones. It is a song written for his sultry baritone: “Sometimes they look
brown Currinton’s latest album proves that a singer/songwriter can continue to grow with each new album – one wonders what the next one will be like!
